The exterior work is just about complete on both the house and Keiki O Ka Aina learning center. The front door of the home was installed as the builders get ready to turn the keys over to the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition design team to come in and place furnishings and add their special secret touches. Landscaping also began and it looks like the community is in store for a lush tropical garden.

Team Member Highlight ~ Jaime Dominguez, JD Painting
Jaime Dominguez, vice president at JD Painting, has been at the build site on and off since Day Two painting the interiors of both buildings. Even though he’s been 32 hours straight he shows no signs of stopping until the job is complete. He plans to come back to help “move that bus” and greet the Akanas when they return to see their new home. For Jaime, the best part of this experience has been seeing everyone come together for the family and that has provided him motivation and inspiration to keep on going.
